Will shot this nice tom over the weekend!! It has a nice 9 inch beard! The boys and I have been on the lookout for turkeys around our property since season opened this past week, and Chet heard this one gobbling one morning and told me! We ran to get dad, and he called it in, and shot it! Chet was super excited because it was 'his' turkey because he heard it!! What a good hunter and listener he is!
Mr. Tom
Chet was and still is super excited about the turkey's beard! Here he is helping daddy skin the turkey...We are going to mount the turkey's tail feathers and beard and put it in Chet and Zane's room! Something Chet is super excited about, and daddy cannot do fast enough! =)
The other evening, Will built a little fire in our firepit, and we roasted marshmellows and made smores! Yummm!! It was so delicious, and very relaxing! Needless to say, the boys loved it! =)
We were so excited to be able to have another peek at our baby boy! We went to Eugene this past Friday to double check an area (and everything is perfect the doctor says!) =) It was amazing to see the difference in size since our last ultrasound two months before! Baby looks so chubby this time! He weighs 4 lbs 2 oz and is in the 33% at 33 weeks along. He is still really active, moving around a lot, and still loves to hold his hand up to his face! We got to see him 'practice breathing' with his lungs expanding in and out, and we also got to see him eating! 3-D ultrasound pictures are SO neat!! It was really, really neat to be able to see a bit more of what's going on inside my tummy...especially at this stage when you usually don't get to see, but just feel baby's movements! So exciting!!! We cannot wait to meet him!!! (In this picture, it is the placenta up against this face on the left side, not his hand!)
Profile picture of baby with his mouth open... (not a 3-D pict)
Peek! So cute and chubby! (placenta again on the left)
We loved this past weekend going down to Medford for their annual Pear Blossom! It was so nice to be with all the friends there, and the boys had a lot of fun playing with all the other kids!
Cheese!!
All the grandkids with Papa and Nana....oops! Except I should've stuck my belly in the picture!
Zane and Daddy...cute boys! Chet and Zane both loved the parade so much! Some of their favorites were the firetrucks, the army with the American flag, the dogs, and of course, the candy! Parades are so much fun!
Cheese!
There were a whole bunch of friends at the races and parade which made it so special! We always love going to visit those friends there!
After the parade, we headed to a park to play softball! Chet had sooo much fun playing ball!! He got to bat twice, and hit the ball both times! Who-hoo!! =)
My favorite three little monkeys...soon to be four!!
Cheese! Zane with his favorite things...his monkey, bo, and binkie! Although I convinced Zane to throw his binkie in the garbage the other day...so we are adjusting to life without binkie!!
We were very excited to wake up to snow the other day!! At first, Chet was disappointed that it was snowing because he wanted nice sunny weather to go play outside, but then realized that we could play in the snow! Yah!! So out we headed!
All bundled up!
Chet's favorite sport! Whapping snow off of the tree branches!
