The Missing Gingerbread Boy!

The end of May, Zane's preschool class had a super fun search for the missing gingerbread boy! They were baking this gingerbread boy in the school oven, and while they weren't looking, he jumped out of the oven and scurried off, wreaking havoc around the school and town! It was their mission to track him down and find him! (this was supposed to teach them what to do if you get lost)  The kids thought this was super fun! One day they came in to a messy classroom, crayons on the ground, benches overturned, gingerbread cookie crumbs scattered about! Their eyes were wide as saucers! The next day, they got a call from the local high school sharing with them that the gingerbread boy was wreaking havoc at the high school, so off the class went to investigate!

In the end, they found the gingerbread boy at the local donut shop! They had fun gobbling him up!

At the high school...

They called the local police department where they filed a missing persons report! The police then came to ask the class questions about the gingerbread boy!

Go Hawthorne Hornets!

Chet's 1st grade class got to sing the 'Star Spangled Banner' at a school event the end of April! They did a great job, and looked so cool in their matching shirts! Chet's teacher, Mrs. Riggs, is the teacher with the yellow hairband around her head...

Zoe's kindergarten class also got to perform! They recited the 'Pledge of Alligence'!

Grandpa comes to visit!

We loved a visit from Grandpa the end of April! Lily fell in love with Grandpa and very quickly had him wrapped around her little finger! ;D  It was very sweet to see!

 

Grandpa and the boys are making a sailboat together!  The boys had fun glueing the layers together and such! A fun project to do together!

Will and Ryan have gotten into mules together, and we loved having them in our pasture for a bit!

And loved taking them for a ride!

Hells Canyon Bear Hunting

Will and Russ E. plus 3 mules went over to Hells Canyon to bear hunt the end of April! Russ had the tag, and Will joined him for the fun of the hunt!  While they didn't end up getting a bear, they found tons of elk and deer sheds! The boys were so excited about the sheds when Will came home! They each slept with their elk shed alongside their bed, falling asleep with their hand rested on it!  When Zane woke up in the morning, he grabbed his shed, and ran over to one of the chairs in the living room and wrapped his arms around it, snuggling with it! It was so funny! Needless to say, they are IN LOVE!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We love Reid!!

Papa and Reid are really good buddies!

Reid's passion in life thus far is big equipment! Vroom, vroom! I saw this genius idea on Pinterest, just a bag of beans, a bin, and hours of scooping fun!

Happy, happy birthday to Lily!!

We had so much fun celebrating Lily's birthday two times! The first birthday party was at Papa and Nana's and then the second at our house!

Lily is such a happy, smiley, baby!  We love her sooo, sooo much!! Lily has a pile of energy, loves to climb up and onto everything, loves animals (especially chickens), and has such a sweet demeanor! What a cute little package all wrapped up in a sweet little girl!
