The mighty bow hunter! Chet has been having SO much fun with this bow that daddy picked up, and then we took one of daddy's arrows without the broad head on it, and we have been having SO much fun with it!! Chet is practicing shooting this deer, turkeys that come in our yard, and even our sheep rams! ;) Of course he usually doesn't get close enough to hit them, but it does make for a good hunt and he's getting to be a really good shot! Chet is so good at sharing too! He even lets Zane and mommy have some turns! It is really fun to shoot! Oh, it's haaard work to be a mom sometimes! ;) I love playing! =D

Let's go to the Coast!

Daddy came home this past Friday saying that he had meant to ask earlier, but how would we like to go to the coast for the night and play around and relax the next day?? Yes, I said!! And away we went! We all had SO much fun playing around on the beach, in the pool, on the pier, and at the wharf in Newport!! What a fun, fun weekend, and what made it so wonderful was that we were all together....all my favorite people...Daddy, Chet, Zane, and Reid! Spontaneous trips are the best!

A beautiful day! (I should explain because this does look a little chilly! By a beautiful day, I mean there was no wind (!) and it wasn't raining! This makes for a beautiful day in Oregon!)

The boys had SO much fun splashing in the waves and running away from the waves as they came in! Chet was soaking wet from splashing, but never have I seen such Huge grins! It was so much fun watching them run around!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While mommy and the kids were visiting Grandma in California, little did we know that daddy was very busy working on a birthday surprise for mommy! Coming home, we went to Rodney & Elysse's wedding reception where daddy met us, and then rode the rest of the way home with us. When we got home, he took my hand, asked me to close my eyes, and led me inside the dark house. When he turned on the lights, a bunch of friends from Sweet Home jumped up from their hiding places yelling surprise and happy birthday!! Oh-boy was I ever surprised!!!!! The kitchen is absolutely beautiful!!! I am still in awe and shock! So, thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who had a part in this surprise! What a wonderful birthday surprise, and what a wonderful husband, and wonderful friends who mean so, so much to me...

Beautiful!!! Hickory cabinets, granite counter tops complemented with a slate back splash, recess lighting, new flooring, elimination of a door in trade for a window and more cabinet space! Wonderful!

Before, there was a false ceiling that came to pretty much where the flowers are....they knocked that out which creates such a different and improved look!

I am now the proud owner of two kitchen sinks!! This round sink (love the shape!) is called a prep sink for washing vegetables and such!

To Grandma's house we go!

Mommy, Chet, Zane, and Reid decided to visit Grandma in California for 9 days on a spur of a moment decided trip! So we loaded up the suburban and took off on a 10 hour drive! Thankfully, all the boys did wonderfully in the car ride down (much to mommy's relief!) and we arrived in sunny California ready to play! It was wonderful to see Grandma again, and we all had fun going to all sorts of fun places, and enjoyed seeing family and friends! What a fun trip it was!

The San Francisco Zoo!

We made a trip to the San Francisco zoo...just me and the boys! It was so much fun! The boys loved seeing all the animals! We got there right before they opened and virtually had the whole zoo to ourselves plus a couple other moms! Imagine that for a huge zoo! Since we got there early, we got to see a lot of the animals being fed! Chet especially liked seeing the grizzly bears forage for their food! The bears had to catch their own fish swimming in a large pool of water, one which caught the fish right in front of the kids! Very cool!

We got to see the penguins get fed too! They are so little and cute!
