Scouting for elk!

After preps last Saturday we headed up to the mountains to check the trail cameras, and scout around! It is always so fun to be in the mountains, and am sure that as the boys get older and older we will be spending more and more time there! So fun!! (the elk tore up the ground here in this pict!)

Downtown Corvallis!

We met Josh, Zach, and Martha in downtown Corvallis the other day where they have a water play place! The boys had so much fun together! It was so fun to see Reid laughing as he played in the water! There were lots of giggles and smiles that day! =D

Reid's first haircut!!

We took Reid to the barber a couple weeks ago to get his first haircut! Reid did so wonderful!! He sat in the chair all by himself, and stayed so nice and still! All his cute curls are gone, but he looks like such a cute big boy now!

A beautiful day in the mountains!

We took an afternoon Sunday drive between meetings, and headed up in the mountains for a bit before going to gospel meeting in Eugene a couple weeks ago! It was so pretty, and the boys loved being in the mountains and playing about!

Deep sea fishing!

Will and Ryan took their crew at the shop out for an eight hour fishing trip out of Newport! They reserved the whole boat, and ended up having some extra spaces available, so were able to invite some special friends along too! It was an awesome day as they limited out on ling cod and came home with 50 crab!

The Linn fair!

We had fun walking around the fair in Albany a couple weeks back! The boys loved all the animals, and cool trucks and tractors! It was fun to see Sherman W.'s antique truck there! The boys voted for it as their favorite!

Chet especially has been wanting to go the skate park in Sweet Home forever! We finally went when no one else was there, and the boys had sooo much fun!! We left when some bigger boys arrived and went on a bike ride around town! It was a lot of fun!!

The boys and I have had fun picking raspberries, green beans, cherries, and squash lately with hopes of more! And a tip for cherry pickers...if there are no cherries on the lower branches, standing on the roof of the suburban works great! The boys thought it was really fun, and it worked great! =D Another reason why a big rig is great!

Reid had fun walking up and down the rows of green beans while mommy was frantically picking! Reid made such a cute dusty mess by the time we were done, but we did get some beans though, and he had a lot of fun!

We went to David and Jeanelle Oakes wedding reception in Eugene a couple weeks ago....the kids had a lot of fun playing together, and it was great to see the happy couple together!

A visit from Grandma!

Grandma and Uncle Gordon came to visit this past week, and the boys loved the special attention and spoiling!

The Portland zoo!

We had fun heading up to the Portland zoo this past Friday with my mom and brother to check the animals out! The boys had a lot of fun and did wonderful!

A beautiful day in Newport!

We headed over to the coast this past Saturday with my mom and brother even though the weather report called for a high of 61 degrees and raining....we were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived in Newport to find the sun shining and it to be a t-shirt weather wearing day! Lovely!

Reid had so much fun at the beach! He didn't eat nearly as much sand as I thought he would, but laughed and walked, and played about having such a great time!

Chet and Zane had so much fun at the beach too! Digging in the sand, and being chased by the water! By the time we were done, the boys were soaking wet, but grinning ear to ear! =D
