Happy Birthday Zoe!!!!

Tonight, we went over to Uncle Ryan and Tia's to celebrate Zoe's second birthday!!! What a big girl!

We LOVED so much having Bonnie S. here for a couple of days! What a special, special treat! =) (Please excuse Chet with no clothes! He's in the 'naked' stage where he loves running around with nothing on! Goofy boy! It does make it nice and easy for potty training though!)

We're still here!!

Well...we haven't posted in awhile, but we're still here! We've been bogged down by the sick bug.... at least we all got it at one time! And Chet and I have been busy because Chet is potty training!!!! It is SO exciting and he is doing SO good!!
Whoo-woo Chet! We're enjoying snow days here; everything is so beautiful and picturesque covered with snow! Chet loves eating, and playing in the snow, and will be so fun when Zane is old enough to play in it too!

Zane started playing (or I should say sucking on ) one of Chet's guns and it made for a cute photo! Bang, bang!!

Pumpkin Scones with Berry Butter!!

I love trying new recipes, and this one is definitely a keeper!! It is absolutely delicious...you should try it!

Pumpkin Scones with Berry Butter:

2 Tbsp. dried cranberries

1/2 cup boiling water

1/2 cup butter, softened

3 Tbsp. confectioners sugar


DOUGH:

2 -3/4 cups flour

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

2 tsp. baking powder

1-1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

1/4 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. baking soda

1/2 cup cold butter

1 egg

1/2 cup canned pumpkin

1/3 cup milk

2 Tbsp. chopped pecans, optional

Place cranberries in a small bowl; add boiling water. Let stand 5 min. drain and chop. In a small mixing bowl, beat butter until light and fluffy. Add confectioners' sugar and cranberries; mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, pie spice, salt and baking soda. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. In a small bowl, whisk the egg, pumpkin and milk; add to crumb mixture just until moistened. Stir in pecans if desired.

Turn dough onto a floured surface; knead 10 times. Pat into an 8-inch circle. Cut into eight wedges; separate wedges and place on a greased baking sheet.

Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 min. or until golden brown. Serve warm with berry butter.

We so enjoyed having my mom up for Thanksgiving this year!! It made it extra special and the boys loved having Grandma around!

We took my mom up to Crater Lake as she's never seen it! It was a gorgeous day up there!!!

Angie's here!!!!!!!! We had Tuesday bible study this week, and Angie got here just in time for meeting! Chet was so excited! Angie and Tia came in during prayer (because she had a late afternoon flight into Portland) and Chet kept on tapping my arm, pointing to Angie and smiling really big and goofy! It was really cute! I think he was a bit excited!

We worked on cutting up Ryan's buck the other night and Zoe and Chet were determined to help! Very cute! They got their knives, and were big helpers in cutting up the deer!
