We enjoyed going to Alsea Falls this past week with my dad when he was up visiting us! It was a bit drizzly, but it was still a fun time, and oh-so-beautiful!
We had fun walking along the trails for a little bit exploring! It was cute to look back and see Grandpa and Chet holding hands as they walked along... =)We spied this friendly little salamander in the middle of the trail! Chet thought it was SO neat, and Zane screeched with joy!
Monday, the 14th was daddy's 30th birthday!! My what a big number, and it was also our 7th anniversary! It was such a special day to be all together! (Zane was mesmerized by the candles, and Chet had a lot of fun singing the birthday song...full of gusto!) =)
Dressed up in camo! So cute!September is officially hunting month, so we don't plan on doing anything else besides hunting! This is what the guys eat, sleep, and breath for! It's great they enjoy it, and with it comes lots of special company! We looove it! What a privilege!All ready to go! Chet is equipped with his camo, binoculars, and pop gun! He even brought his pop gun along, and it was so cute to see it stuck out the window "shooting" at all the animals his imagination saw!Chet loooooves Dan N.! It was been SO special to have him up here!
Will took the whole family up to the mountains last Saturday! Chet has been wanting to go hunting sooooo bad! It was SO much fun! We got to listen as daddy did a stand to see if an elk would come in, the boys had hundreds of sticks to choose from, we pickled huckleberries, went grouse hunting, and spent time together! Wonderful!! It was so much fun!
I had sooooo much fun shooting some grouse in the mountains! Here's one of the grouse we got! They are delicious by the way...tastes like chicken, but much better!
We had a lot of fun picking huckleberries in the mountains! Picking and eating huckleberries was a first for me, Chet & Zane! Chet and Zane loved picking and eating them! Yummm..! And then, when we got home, I made some huckleberry jam! It is delicious!!
We so enjoyed seeing Brandon & Nicole again, as they came for Saginaw convention! Chet looooves his Uncle B & Nicki!
Spending time with Great Grandpa & Grandma...
And...we wouldn't want anyone to think that Chet was too perfect! ;)
Pretty peachy! We've enjoyed picking, canning, and eating peaches this past week! Yumm, yummm!
