Off to the ER!

Oh...what a week! On Tuesday, we had to rush Zane to the ER in Lebanon, a looong 20 minute drive with an unhappy and crying little boy, and worried parents! Zane was walking in our bedroom back and forth while mommy was folding laundry on the bed, and he tripped and fell....right onto our metal bed frame....OUCH! There was so much blood, and lots of tears....(Zane wasn't the only one crying..) His right front tooth got forced up into his gum, and the one next to it on the right got knocked out of shape also. Zane's tooth actually ripped our bed skirt, and left a mark on the bed frame, it was a very solid hit. The ER doctor suggested we take Zane to a pediatric dentist, so we did the next day, and the dentist said that depending on which way the trauma happened to the big tooth (whether it was hit to the right or left) will depend on whether there was any damage done to the permanent tooth. So, we just have to wait and see how it heals up, and go back to the dentist in 4 weeks. Zane is doing really great. He is a tough little cookie! He's smiling and laughing, and with the help of a little Tylenol is doing wonderful!

Off to the mountains we go!!

Will and Chet headed off to some beautiful country 25 miles north of Yellow Pine, Idaho this past week! Will's uncle's dad has a bunch of mining claims and land in this area and invited them to come up! They had SO much fun! And was so fun for them to spent some Chet and daddy time together! Eric and Megan were there too, as well as Jack's sister, so Chet had a lot of fun playing with them! This is the area that Will is going to go hunting in later this fall, so he was happy to go scout the area out! There were a lot of old mining equipment and cabins dating back to 1900, beautiful country, flowers, and wildlife! How fun!!

A fun day at the Gilbert house!

The boys and I went to the Gilbert House in Salem with Mona, Clinton, and Doyle this past week! Chet and Zane had a lot of fun spending time with Clinton and Doyle!

Building a space ship that landed on the moon....and the main ingredient? Marshmellows! Yummm! Chet's favorite part was eating them after he was finished!

Fun days at home!

A very cherry time! Will and I had fun canning cherries off our cherry trees this past week! We started after the boys had gone to bed, and stayed up to the wee hours of the morning, but got the job done, and are enjoying the fruits of our labors! Delicious!!

Zane has been having so much fun carrying Chet's guns around! Chet thinks that Zane is playing hunting, so they run after each other on the lookout for animals to shoot!

Chet started giving Zane rides on his bike! They both think it is SO much fun, and it is so fun and sweet to see the boys playing together and growing into good buddies!! =)

Zane is ONE!!!!

Zane is 1 now!! His birthday was this past Saturday, July 11th! We celebrated a couple days early since we knew we would be gone to Jed & Miranda's wedding....so, we had monkey cupcakes after Wednesday meeting! It was a lot of fun! And Zane thought the cupcake was yummy! What a fun, smiley boy he is! We sure love Chet and Zane soooo much!! It is so fun watching them grow up, and boy, do they grow up fast!

Jed & Miranda's wedding!!

It was so nice to share Jed & Miranda's special day with them! They were married at Miranda's parent's home in Washington on July 11th (Zane's birthday!) It was such a nice wedding! They had some really neat ideas....a campfire to roast smores on, a candy shoppe with different kinds of candy, yummy pie (instead of cake,) and various people singing and playing guitar! It was such a nice evening spent together, and we are so happy for Jed and Miranda!

Wyoming here we come!

We had such a fun trip to Wyoming these past couple of weeks! We went to some really neat places...the weekend of Parma convention, Jackson Hole, the
Bar-J Wranglers, Yellowstone, the Cody rodeo, and Cody convention! What a fun trip it was!! And sooo nice to see those friends in Wyoming again, and make some really special new ones! We all had such a fun time, and yet, it is always so nice to get back to home, Sweet Home again! So, we are thankful to have a little place here that is home to us, and friends everywhere that are like family!
