Ice fishing at Diamond Lake!

This past weekend we drove down to Diamond Lake to go ice fishing! We met my dad there who came up from Tahoe to go fishing with us, and Russ & Alesha & kids came out for the day on Friday to fish! It was so much fun!!

Reid took very good care of the fish after they were caught! He moved his chair next to them so he could be close by, fed them ice chips, and petted them! =D

The boys were very avid fishermen, staying by their fishing poles the whole day! They did great and had so much fun!

It was a beautiful weekend a couple weeks ago, so we decided to go visit the fish hatchery...and ride bikes in town! So much fun!

Special company...

We so enjoyed having Larry G. and Stan S. stay with us for a couple of days! The kids loved all the special attention! It is always so nice to have the workers stay!

 

Reid got really attached to Stan! Stan is definately Reid's special buddy  =)

Hawthorne's Soap Box Derby!

Chet's school had a soap box derby race! We found out that it pays to be small in stature!  Chet weighs the least in all his class so was able to be the driver of his classes soap box! Hunter, his fellow classmate was able to push their soap box the fastest so he got to be the pusher! Needless to say, these two boys were super excited!! This year, their classroom theme is 'The mates of Room 8!' Mrs. Riggs, Chet's teacher is the absolute best! She has so much love and enthusiam for teaching, and does wonderful handling her classroom and the kids!

Hunter and Chet were super fast and did an excellent job!! They whizzed around the race car track in a stunning 21 seconds! They came in second place to a 3rd grade class with 19 seconds.  Really good I have to say for being 1st graders and only 3 seconds behind! Oo-whoo!

Curtis and Angie!

Curtis and Angie got married on Friday, February 15th in Whitefish, Montana!! It was a small wedding, immediate family with a handful of their closest friends. We loved our time there! Spending time with all the family and Curtis' many nephews and nieces all about the same age as our kids! The kids had so much fun together while we so enjoyed being with Curtis' family! We cannot wait to spend time again with them! It was a super special and memorable wedding with such a happy outcome! We are so happy for Curtis and Angie and are so happy to have him included in part of the family!
