Sunny California!
We loved visiting Grandma the first part of July! There is always so many fun things to do in the Bay Area for the kids! And so many friends to spend special time with! We loved our time there with Grandma! And are thankful for special memories made together as a family...
Santa Cruz beach boardwalk!!
We had a BLAST at the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk!! The kids had so much fun there we ended up going there two different days!! There were lots of fun rides, rollar coasters, and games for little kids, and also the beach!! So fun!!
Reid is very into semi-trucks! This ride was perfect for him, and he is still talking about it til this day!
Special school friends!
Our social calender was sure full when we were at Grandma's! We were so happy to get together with different friends throughout the week! We had fun meeting up with a bunch of my school friends at a park, playing, and eating yummy food together! It had been awhile since we had last seen them... it was so good to see them and spend special time together!
Crystal was so good with the kids! They sure had fun playing with her, and cannot wait to play with her again!
And...we got to have ice cream from an ice cream truck for the first time! The kids thought it was so cool!!
Special times with special friends!
We were so glad to have the opportunity to get together with Eldon and Carolyn D.! They were super special to me growing up! Eldon would tote Gordon, and I, and three other close family friends around during the summer spending time and doing fun things together! I am so thankful for encouraging and supportive roll models and friends!
Getting ready for dinner that night, we had woken Reid up from his nap after a super fun day spent at the beach, and he promptly fell asleep again on the kitchen floor! So funny and cute!
We were also super glad to get together with Paul and Darla, Nana's sister! We always love getting together with them, they are so lively and fun!
Oakland A's vs. Chicago Cubs!
We spent the 4th of July all-American! Baseball, crackerjacks, hot dogs, singing 'Take me out to the ballgame' with thousands of other fans, and later...fireworks! It was such a fun day!! It was fun to see the A's win, and see a former Beaver baseball player recruited from Corvallis playing for the Cubs!
